Welcome to Michael Roud Photography. Our studio specializes in actor headshots for the los angeles, california area. Michael Roud is a headshot photographer in Los Angeles. He also photographs fashion spreads and commercial photography. This blog is designed to give actors a better idea of what to expect during a headshot session and how the entertainment industry, in Los Angeles, is responding to various types of actor headshots. These various types of head shots can be be categorized into three groupings. The first is a theatrical headshot which is utilized for film and television submissions. The second consists of commercial headshots which are submitted for all aspect of advertisement. The third category can most easily be described as a character headshot which helps visually portray how the given actor would look in a specific roles, such as a doctor, lawyer, police officer, etc.
